Morgan's Message
Overview
This is a student-led club dedicated to promoting mental health awareness. The mission of Morgan’s Message is to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, provide a safe space for open conversations, and ensure all students know they are not alone. Through Bi-monthly meetings, peer-led discussions, and awareness campaigns, the club will empower students to prioritize their mental well-being and support one another. With your approval, we can create a positive, lasting impact on our school community by making mental health a priority.
We will be collaborating with the High School. Together we will raise awareness through events like PS I Love You Day, writing positive messages in chalk on the walkway for students to read as they enter school (Chalk the Walk), relieving stress with a visit from some therapy dogs, participating in the Out of the Darkness Walk at Jones Beach, recognizing world Mental Health Day by putting positive butterflies around the school so people know they are not alone, making and selling bracelets like Little Words Project, making announcements for mental health during the month of May (mental health awareness month), participating in the Halloween Spooktacular, participating in Mental Health Action Day, and working with liaisons at Cohen’s Strong at Northwell.
