The mission of the Wantagh Middle School Library and Librarian is to provide information access to all students and staff. The Librarian works to ensure students acquire the skills to select, evaluate and use information appropriately and effectively.
The Librarian:
*Provides direct instruction on research skills and information and digital literacy skills like evaluating, using and creating information
*Develops a collection of materials, in a variety of formats, to support and complement classroom instruction
*Supports students in learning and practicing skills for their future college and/or career
*Hosts a safe, welcoming space for all
