Smoke Signals is a club that produces an online school newspaper for Wantagh Middle School.

At our bi-weekly meetings, student reporters will discuss topics and then write/edit their articles. Our reporters may choose to write about happenings within our school building, our community, our nation/world and may also write creatively or share hobbies/project ideas. Edited articles are published to the online newspaper site and can be found on the Wantagh Middle School homepage under the site shortcuts (Smoke Signals) or at smokesignals.wantaghschools.org. Student reporters are encouraged to write articles at home and submit them for approval. 

Smoke Signals meetings are held in-person/virtually every other Tuesday, twice a month. Check the Smoke Signals Schoology page for updates/Google meet links.

Even if you have never written for the paper before, we are always welcoming new members!
