Honor Society Requirements

The criteria for membership are:
  1. An overall average of 90.0% or above during the four quarters of grade 7 and the first two quarters of grade 8
  2. Active participation in at least two extracurricular or community service* activities during grades 7 and 8
  3. Submission of an essay detailing the student's commitment to each pillar of the Honor Society
  4. Above average ratings from teachers, administrators, and staff in the areas of character** and leadership
*Beginning in the year 2022-2023, students will be required to log their community service hours. Each student must complete at least 15 hours of community service in 7th and 8th grade, collectively. For example: 5 hours in 7th grade and 10 hours in 8th grade.
**The eligibility of a student who has received a disciplinary referral will be subject to review by administration and the Middle School Honor Society committee.
8th grade students who meet the academic criteria will receive an invitation to apply in February. Please refer to the dates and deadlines page for further information.
